EXPLORING SACRED SPACE -- PART THREE

In this final post on Kristen Ann's Exploring Sacred Space: A Vast Quest we will look at her take on the alien involvement, among other things (Note: for previous posts, see Part One and Part Two).  

Ann has a longstanding interest in ancient Egypt and has made multiple trips to the region.  She is a firm believer in the Ancient Aliens theory and notes that Werner Glas reported that the Egyptian gods were called Syrian because they were from Sirius.  She also notes that the Dogon tribe in Africa was thoroughly familiar with the pairing of the stars Sirius A and Sirius B, as depicted in their cave drawings, long before Western astronomers.

EXPLORING SACRED SPACE -- PART TWO

This is a continuation of my previous post taking a look at Kristen Ann's Exploring Sacred Space: A Vast Quest and now it is time to tackle some of her more provocative concepts.  One of these is the idea that at some point soon (possibly around December 21, 2012?) the earth may experience Three Days of Darkness. 

This is a notion that has come up before, sometimes within a religious context, e.g., there will be no electricity and the only visible light available will come from candles blessed by a priest, presumably Catholic.

But I think we will stick to a more secular interpretation here.  The central idea is that something, no one seems to be sure just what, will cause the entire globe to be plunged into darkness, receiving no light from our sun for three full days.  No doubt if this were to come to pass, there would be a worldwide panic of unprecedented proportions.

EXPLORING SACRED SPACE -- PART ONE

I was very pleased to receive a review copy of Kristen Ann's book, Exploring Sacred Space: A Vast Quest.  As she noted in a recent email, her main emphasis is on:

helping people KNOW what's coming, be prepared and thus...move beyond fear....In understanding this whole event, I'm hoping it will help people see it as an adventure -- and that fear won't so much be a part of it.

This suggestion to avoid fear has popped up numerous times in my readings and I believe that it is excellent advice.  In fact I will probably devote a whole post to it at some point.  But now back to Exploring Sacred Space....

A NEW FORMULA FOR CREATION

Despite my training in the social and life sciences, I have to confess that I am a big fan of channeled material, i.e., material that reputedly emanates from some discarnate source -- be it a departed soul, other-dimensional being, extraterrestrial, evolved soul, or whatever. 

However, channeled material should always come with a disclaimer because it is difficult, if not impossible, to independently ascertain the validity of the material, the veracity of the source, and/or the clarity of the channeler. 

Thus, the standard advice is, using your own intuition take in those parts of the message that resonate with you and leave the rest for later..... which is sort of what I will be doing in this post, a review of A New Formula for Creation: The Miracle of Immortal Love, channeled by Judith K. Moore, and available from Light Technology Publishing.

THE SOURCE FIELD INVESTIGATIONS -- PART THREE

Welcome back to my third and final post on The Source Field Investigations (you can check here for Part One or Part Two).

Wilcock is very impressed with the writings of a Russian scientist, Nikolai Kozyrev, who did considerable work on the nature of time, or more specifically, the flow of time.  As in quantum physics, many of his discoveries just don't make sense to our rational minds.  For example, Kozyrev states that the flow of time isn't constant, it can be slowed down or speeded up under certain conditions.  And time does not "push through space in a straight line," it spins, twists or rotates.

THE SOURCE FIELD INVESTIGATIONS -- PART TWO

Wilcock presents us with a dazzling smorgasbord of topics and there were several that I found especially intriguing and/or significant.

One is his concept of levity, the opposite of gravity -- no, I'm not kidding, really.  Gravity is a downward force flowing into the earth, and since it doesn't dissipate, there must be a counterbalancing force flowing back up out of the earth.  He calls this force levity.  Interesting, huh?

 As you may recall, I first mentioned the work of David Wilcock in an earlier post on Project Avalon/Project Camelot, noting that Bill Ryan and Kerry Cassidy apparently think very highly of him.  In fact, on introducing him at her 2008 Project Camelot L.A. Awake and Aware Conference, Kerry referred to him as a "really stellar individual."

I was, therefore, very pleased to receive a review copy of his latest book, The Source Field Investigations: The Hidden Science and Lost Civilizations Behind the 2012 Prophecies.  It is a thick tome of a book, over 500 pages long with almost 50 pages of notes and citations -- not for the faint of heart, but well worth the effort if you have a big appetite for scientific conjecture and experimental results.

A VISION FOR 2012 -- PART TWO

I  can hardly find fault with Petersen's vision of a post 2012 world.  I mean, come on, who could object to a world that is safe, equitable, cooperative and sustainable? 

It's when he outlines his strategy for actually getting there that he loses me.  While fully acknowledging the "political and bureaucratic roadblocks that are placed in the path of progress" he then outlines a number of requisite steps that, in my humble opinion, don't stand a snowball's chance in hell of coming to pass.

A VISION FOR 2012 -- PART ONE

If you are not into the woo-woo aspects of 2012, then A Vision for 2012: Planning for Extraordinary Change might be just the book for you.  Not only do you not have to contend with the Long Count Calendar, baktuns, and haabs, you won't even find the word Maya in it.  Maybe that's because the book was written by professional futurist, John Petersen, who first appeared here in an earlier post on The Mystery of 2012. 

Petersen is the quintessential futurist: founder of The Arlington Institute ("a research institute that specializes in...global futures"), publisher of the on-line FUTUREdition Newsletter, and former board member of the World Future Society (an organization which I helped co-found way back when).

COSMIC VOYAGE -- PART THREE

In this final post on Cosmic Voyage by Courtney Brown I want to briefly explore some miscellaneous points that I found of interest.

For the most part Remote Viewing (RV) is a passive activity.  The RVer merely goes to a target and reports back what they "see."  However, in some cases they actually interact with entities that they may encounter during the session.  This was the case in a number of Brown's sessions.  For example, in a session focused on the Galactic Federation he reported,

O.K. There are beings in here, lots of them....I get the clear sense that this is some type of council....They do not seem to be aware that I am watching.  They seem to be concerned with matters of state or governance....Uh-oh.  Looks like I was wrong about them not knowing I am here.  I am being given a welcome.

And during another session,

There really are beings here.  These are not human beings....I am being given a welcome.  These beings know that I am here.  They are looking right at me.  I am getting very nervous about this. 

COSMIC VOYAGE -- PART TWO

In the last post we looked at what Courtney Brown had to say about the Martians, in this one we will look at his take on the ubiquitous Greys.

While most accounts of Greys portray them as drone-like and emotionless, there have been some reports in the literature of higher functioning, even wise and compassionate, Greys. 

So it should not come as a surprise that Brown discovered that there are three categories of Greys, which he terms primitive, advanced and superevolved, all of which work with the Galactic Federation.  According to Brown they "...originate from different points in time.  Yet all three populaces are interacting simultaneously here on Earth."

COSMIC VOYAGE -- PART ONE

In an earlier post I discussed Courtney Brown's work on remote viewing (RV) of the year 2012.  Today I would like to take a look at his 1996 book, Cosmic Voyage: A Scientific Discovery of Extraterrestrials Visiting Earth.

I confess to some reservations about the use of the term scientific.  But I guess maybe he has every right to use it, being as how he is a bona fide behavioral scientist (Ph.D. in political science with an emphasis on math modeling; currently an Associate Professor at Emory University). 

Personally I feel he is overreaching....or maybe it is just me putting too narrow a construction on the term.  Granted, he clearly tries to be rigorously objective in his approach, as is true of RV in general, and I have no doubts about his integrity (or the validity of the approach, see my own minor forays in the field) but still.............scientific?

2012: SCIENCE OR SUPERSTITION -- PART TWO

In Chapter Five, titled The Science of Apocalypse, Bruce tackles the pronouncements of another video participant, Lawrence Joseph, author of Apocalypse 2012 (which is forebodingly  subtitled: A Scientific Investigation into Civilization's End).

Bruce evidently is a little sceptical about that word scientific since she conducts her own independent study into the likelihood of our befalling certain of the enumerated fates.  However, at a minimum she does concede that they are a "good sampling of the classic concerns that have come to be associated with the 2012 meme."  

After an extensive search of the scientific literature relevant to Joseph's "selection of apocalypses" she declares that "some are legitimate, others aren't"......and some fall in between.

2012: SCIENCE OR SUPERSTITION -- PART ONE

It is fairly common to see a video based on a book, far less common to see a book based on a video -- but that is the case here.  Evidently the producer of a video, by the same name, having thoroughly researched the 2012 phenomenon in preparing for the film, felt "...there was no single book that even attempted" to cover the broad range of topics involved so he went out and got a writer, Alexandra Bruce, to do the job.  Hence the subtitle: The Definitive Guide to the Doomsday Phenomenon.

It certainly is "definitive" in a sense, but its breadth is accomplished at the expense of its depth.  Geoff Stray's Beyond 2012: Catastrophe or Awakening? also does a great job of covering the waterfront, and in more depth.  So you might think of the current book as "Stray lite."  However, that may be just the ticket if you would like a quick, easy and comprehensive read on the topic.  But lest I give the wrong impression, I must hasten to add that the book is very well done, thoroughly researched and intelligently written.

DMT: THE SPIRIT MOLECULE -- PART FOUR

In the previous post we heard what a number of subjects had to say regarding their encounters with other "beings."  It's pretty far out stuff and if you feel most comfortable chalking it up to delusion, hallucination, dreaming, confabulation, mass hysteria or whatever -- please be my guest.

However, I have been immersed in this type of material for 20 years now and cannot so easily dismiss it.  That is in part because strikingly similar and internally consistent reports have appeared with great regularity in the alien abduction literature for quite a while.

DMT: THE SPIRIT MOLECULE -- PART THREE

  We now enter what Strassman refers to as the "invisible" realm or "unexpected territory," some aspects of which left him "confused and concerned....baffled and nonplussed by the sheer volume and bizarre nature of [the] reports."

While he would dearly love to have written them off as dreams or hallucinations he was eventually convinced that they in fact represented "freestanding, independent levels of existence."

And his subjects would probably agree because they would preface their reports with statements such as, "This was not a dream," or "I couldn't have made it up if I wanted to." Others said things like, "...it was a total surprise!....All I could do was observe it;" or "This is real...It's totally unexpected, quite constant and objective....It's an independent constant reality."

As noted in the previous post, the book is first and foremost an account of a research project, hence it is of necessity heavy on the minutiae of research protocols.  While these are of undoubted interest to other researchers, the average reader could care less, so I will just jump into some of the juicier findings.

 Strassman describes these under three overarching rubrics: personal, transpersonal, and invisible.

DMT: THE SPIRIT MOLECULE -- PART ONE

Before launching into a review of DMT: The Spirit Molecule by Rick Strassman, M.D., I would like to remind the reader of DMT's possible connection with Mayan 2012. That can probably best be summed up with a quote by Geoffrey Stray lifted from an earlier post vis-a-vis earth changes in 2012:

Could it be that our entry into the magnetized plasma band will cause Earth weather changes and a geomagnetic reversal, which will trigger the pineal gland into DMT and pinoline production, leading to Kundalini and out-of-body experiences and increasing incidents of telepathy, while we develop our ability to see beyond the veil into the invisible landscape?

2012 AND ECOSHAMANISM

Beyond 2012: A Shaman's Call to Personal Change and the Transformation of Global Consciousness focuses more on the transformation and less on the 2012.  James Endredy is apparently a leader in the field of ecoshamanism -- a field about which I know very little, so you may have to take my comments with a grain of salt.

Endredy opens his consideration of 2012 with a brief overview of various prophecies, followed by the obligatory description of all the usual suspects:  volcanic and supervolcanic eruptions, earthquakes, tsunamis, a pole shift, asteroid collisions and a smorgasbord of possible man made disasters.

THE MONROE INSTITUTE'S GATEWAY VOYAGE PROGRAM

I first heard about Robert Monroe from the ubiquitous Bill Harman during one of his visits with me and my family, circa 1967, in the Virginia suburbs of Washington D.C.  It was the day after Bill met with Monroe for the first time, a bit further south in a far more rural part of the state. 

I don't recall the exact details of our conversation that day but I distinctly remember that Bill had come away from his meeting with a very positive impression of both Monroe and his work.

So in 1971 when Monroe published his first book, Journeys Out of the Body, recounting his extraordinary experiences, I rushed to buy it.  I was not disappointed, and over the years I just as avidly read his subsequent works (Far Journeys and Ultimate Journey).  Therefore, I was intrigued to see that Courtney Brown cited his experience at The Monroe Institute (TMI) as one of the key elements in his preparation to become a Remote Viewer.  (As you may recall, I covered Brown's work on remote viewing 2012 in an earlier post.)
