In this final post on Cosmic Voyage by Courtney Brown I want to briefly explore some miscellaneous points that I found of interest.
For the most part Remote Viewing (RV) is a passive activity. The RVer merely goes to a target and reports back what they "see." However, in some cases they actually interact with entities that they may encounter during the session. This was the case in a number of Brown's sessions. For example, in a session focused on the Galactic Federation he reported,
O.K. There are beings in here, lots of them....I get the clear sense that this is some type of council....They do not seem to be aware that I am watching. They seem to be concerned with matters of state or governance....Uh-oh. Looks like I was wrong about them not knowing I am here. I am being given a welcome.
And during another session,
There really are beings here. These are not human beings....I am being given a welcome. These beings know that I am here. They are looking right at me. I am getting very nervous about this.
It is interesting to note that such experiences are not at all uncommon, although they certainly stretch our credulity. As you may recall, over half of Rick Strassman's DMT volunteers reported interacting with various beings during their excursions into non-ordinary reality. People who undergo a near death experience commonly report meeting with departed relatives, spiritual figures or luminous beings. And as we will see in a future post, Bruce Moen has interacted with a wide variety of beings during his TMI-hemisync experiences.
I found a number of Brown's insights and conjectures quite interesting. For example, following a session in which the target was Jesus he says, in regard to helping others,
Without this, no one goes forward. There must be no limits to the human desire to help.
He wants us to work with the Greys and Martians....not...that it would simply be a good idea. He conveyed the clearest concept of a command that I have ever received...while remote viewing. It is not that we should cooperatively work with the ETs. Rather, we must do so.
The clear implication was that it would ultimately be in our best interests as well as theirs. This is very close to one of the central messages of Mount Analogue, by Rene Daumal, namely that we advance spiritually by helping others. If we stop helping, then we stop advancing.
Brown has a disconcerting penchant for using the fictional Star Trek term subspace in places where other writers would probably use altered state, non-ordinary reality, other dimension, parallel universe, greater Reality, or Other Side. In any case, I found the following assertion interesting,
The most important single ingredient involved in the...transformation of human culture is the...awareness of subspace life....the physical exists to help the evolution of life in subspace, not the reverse.
It is constantly being reported that the concept of time does not exist on "the Other Side." If you are like me, you find it very difficult, if not impossible, to comprehend consciousness existing apart from time. However, it might be an important concept to grapple with since it is frequently reported that the correct interpretation of the Mayan writings regarding December 21, 2012 is not that it will be the end of time but rather the end of time as we know it.
After one session Brown noted,
...linear time does not exist in subspace....Extensive remote viewing over many years by many trained viewers has demonstrated that linear time does not exist outside of the physical world. All events happen simultaneously. This makes little sense to most of us on Earth, where time is sequential.
Amen to that.
In introducing one session Brown notes,
...the unconscious is highly intelligent. It does not merely obey simple requests for data. It knows intimately what the remote viewer needs to know for the project at hand. It will always direct [them] to the correct answer, even if the answer is not the one that the conscious mind of the viewer thinks is right.
This is very reminiscent of the LSD dictum that you will always get the trip you need, not necessarily the trip you want. As my trip guide told me prior to my first trip many years ago, "Relax, David, there is an inner guide that knows what you need".....and he was right. I later discovered as a regression therapist that the same dynamic exists in past life regressions. Apparently there is a higher power or inner guide that knows just which past life experience will best serve the client in the present life. Our task is always to stand back and let it do its job.
In conclusion, I would have to acknowledge that, as usual, this stuff is all pretty far-out. However, as I have noted at various points along the way, it is highly congruent with, and reminiscent of, comparable material in the literature drawn from a variety of other sources.
And as to the validity of Remote Viewing in general, I want to remind the reader that my own tentative forays into the field produced rather incredible results. I have to believe that if a totally untrained person working under extremely poor conditions could achieve the results that I did, then one should probably treat very seriously the results obtained by a highly trained person such as Brown working under optimal conditions.
