PART THREE, covering "spirituality, signs and symbolism," opens with Arjuna Ardagh. He is the author of The Translucent Revolution which chronicles the lives of hundreds of people who have experienced an awakening so profound that it has radically transformed their everyday lives. He sees us in the "early stages of a huge shift in collective consciousness," (or, echoing Bill Harman, a "paradigm shift") which may be leading to an "evolutionary leap in human life unlike anything we have known."
Clinical psychologist Gill Edwards notes that, "When love is present, there is no fear." This is a quite salient point since so much written about 2012 can engender fear, even in the most optimistic of people. (I am going to return to the subject of fear in future posts because I believe that, beyond a certain minimal level, fear is not a constructive response....and there are some truly fascinating reasons why it may be unnecessary.) Edwards goes on to extol the virtues of "wild love," an unconditional love (reminiscent of Bruce Moen's PUL- Pure Unconditional Love) that is inclusive and embracing, and is freely given to self, others and the world at large.
Lawrence Joseph discusses the Bible Code, fundamentalists, Armageddon, and the Apocalypse (so much for eschewing fear); and Llewellyn Vaughan-Lee notes "a growing awareness of a shift in consciousness toward global oneness," and a corresponding move away from materialism.
Christine Page sees us approaching the completion of our "hero's journey," noting that, "Most of us are here to finish what we committed to 26,000 years ago." She also sees the return of the feminine, as embodied in The Virgin, The Mother and The Crone. Likewise, Sharron Rose believes that the galactic alignment of 2012 will see the reemergence of the goddess energy, as embodied in the Egyptian Isis, the Christian Virgin Mary, the kabbalistic Shekhina, and the Hindu Shakti.
The Dutch visual artist, Janosh, draws on Mayan lore, quoting Guatemalan anthropologist Carlos Barrios as saying, regarding 2012, "Everything will change" and the Guatemalan Maya Elders of the Eagle Clan noting that we will be experiencing a fusion of both feminine and masculine energies bringing balance and a period of "...harmony, the kingdom of love and the return of consciousness...." as well as "...the transition into a new world, a new dimension."
But then he goes much, much further afield, discussing his 2003 visit from the Arcturians -- benevolent, ultraterrestrial, multidimensional beings who "live in a dimension parallel to our reality." They are also, apparently, the entities responsible for the majority of crop circles, which are designed "...to guide humankind in its evolution to a higher level of consciousness." His connection with the Arcturians sparked an interest in sacred geometry and has lead to the production of quite striking works of art, many of which are reminiscent of the crop circles themselves (see below).
Note: Part Three also contains a piece by Geoff Stray which is so chocked full of really good stuff -- almost like a book within a book -- that I am going to devote the entire next post to it.
